Built in a park-like setting with trails and a gazebo surrounded by many beautiful trees, Emeritus at West Orange is one of Northern New Jersey's premier assisted living and Alzheimer's communities. Located near the Garden State Parkway and Route 280, just 30 minutes from Newark International Airport, our senior living community offers 114 apartments on two floors. Here our residents â in many cases, with their pets â enjoy retirement living. Yet a helping hand from our warm, caring staff is always close by.
Our community also offers an innovative memory care program, Join Their Journey®, for seniors affected by Alzheimer's or dementia. Because your family's experience will be unlike any other, our goal is to get to know you and your loved one, so that we can offer support and solutions for your individual situation. We "join the journey" of your loved one by recognizing individuality, encouraging choices and allowing residents the dignity to live in a secure, personalized and familiar setting that feels comfortable for them.
Our common areas, which are located in the middle of the building to make it easy for residents to navigate, give residents and their loved ones the opportunity to get to know one another. We also offer a wide range of activities every month, including our Men's Club and shopping trips. Our assisted living community is in a residential area close to the mall, supermarket, many restaurants, a bank, museums, movie theatre, a church and golf course just across the street. In addition, St Barnabas Medical Center, Mountainside Medical Center and a nursing home rehabilitation center are also close by if ever needed.
